This has to be the hardest part of the entire process. The who, what, where, when and why of how we got here. I will tell you, it sure is a story. Starting from as little as I can remember, a young girl with a love to decorate, I would spend days re-doing my same four bookshelves over and over again, rearranging my bedroom furniture, and even my bedding seasonally. Years I spent watching my mom so intricatley as she changed over Christmas decorations to Spring then to Fall. Each holiday and season loved, treasured and celebrated.  I loved creating sun catchers out of used old Clearly Canadian bottles that were filled with water and LightBrite pegs and toilet paper wind catchers with colored tissue paper. Any and everything beautiful always caught my eye and calmed me.  It felt magical, and to this day that's what I still feel the most about decorating.

My hope with Christen Elizabeth Home is to create and help spread a little more beauty in this world. Whether it be through a beautifully decorated baby shower, a tablescape or mantle. Perhaps it's through the smile of your daughter or sister as they are met on their birthday morning by our fairy, or a spooky grin from your neighbors from the frightening Halloween decorations that adorn your front steps. Just maybe it's beauty through a uniquely designed space in your home, a space that stops you in your tracks and gives you a moment to just be and appreciate all that's around you.  A place that feels magic.

With that, as a mom to two young girls, I know and understand the importance of time and the lack of it. I know how quickly it passes and how hard it is to stay present at all times doing ALL the things.  Sadly, time machines may not exist, but we do in hopes to help give you some of that time back. Let us sweat the small stuff so you don't have to allowing you time back to celebrate the special people and moments in your life.
